Privacy policy

Who is responsible

The company identified below is responsible for this website and for the personal data described here. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected] or write to the registered address shown.

Information involved when you visit

A web server receives your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request and technical headers such as your browser's user agent in order to deliver a page. Those details may also be used to keep the site available, diagnose faults and investigate misuse. The basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the publication. Access records are kept only while needed for those operational or security purposes, or for an applicable legal obligation.

The site has no visitor accounts. Its correction form prepares an email draft locally and does not submit data to a server. Its search index is downloaded from this site and searched in your browser; search terms are not sent to a separate search provider. Comparison inputs are processed in your browser.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address, the content of your message and any other information you choose to include. We use it to respond to your inquiry, review a correction, or handle a legal or privacy request. This is based on our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence or, where applicable, a legal obligation. We retain correspondence while it is needed to handle the matter and any related legal obligations or claims. Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is needed for your request.

Analytics

Umami is the publisher's analytics service. This site loads its tracking script from stats.admk.com and sends visit events to that service. Umami's standard tracking script measures page views, referring pages, browser and device types, and approximate country. According to Umami's documentation, the standard tracker does not use cookies or store personally identifiable information. An individual site's configuration and hosting determine how long its analytics records are kept.

Advertising and consent

AdSense is the publisher's advertising network. This site build does not load advertising tags or request ads. On a site where AdSense is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may receive technical information and use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads. Depending on consent and settings, ads may be personalized using activity on this or other websites. See Google's AdSense privacy information and Google's privacy policy for more detail.

This site has no active consent tool because it does not load advertising. Advertising must be accompanied by an appropriate consent mechanism before it is enabled where consent is required.

The cookie policy explains the technologies involved and how to manage browser and advertising choices.

Recipients and international processing

The infrastructure used to host the site handles technical requests. Email providers handle messages sent to us. The Umami service at stats.admk.com receives the visit events described above. This site does not load AdSense tags or send advertising events to that network. We do not publish personal information from reader messages unless you agree or the law requires it.

Your rights

Where the GDPR applies, you can request access to your personal data, correction or deletion, restriction of processing, and data portability where applicable. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Send a request to [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or another competent supervisory authority. We will update this policy if the site's actual data practices change.
